PTA / PTO Fundraising Program
When we founded Martial Arts for Life in 2005, we made a decision to build a strong relationship with the local community. We chose to make it a priority to donate our time and resources to make a positive impact on local schools, organizations and the community at large. We are big believers in the precept of "right livelihood." This means that what we do for a living should also benefit our community.
Our goal is to build a partnership between local PTA / PTO's and our martial arts academy. Our ultimate goal is to increase safety and awareness within the school district, and in the process raises hundreds, even thousands of dollars for the local parent / teacher groups.
Here is how our fundraising program works:
We offer a 4 week program that incorporates character development, conflict avoidance, and child safety. The program is based in martial arts, but puts strong emphasis on building confidence, focus, and respect. The mechanics of the program are pretty simple. Parents pay $75 for the four week program and every penny goes to the PTA or PTO. We provide the training and everything they need to participate at our facility. The parent / teacher group gets all the money and the students come back with a very positive attitude. Sometimes parents choose to enroll students in our regular programs, which is ultimately how we benefit from this program.
Students can choose from VIRTUAL or ON SITE CLASSES!
